Mise en Place

On Sunday, we returned from a weekend in Keystone to a very messy house. A cluttered kitchen, Christmas decorations still not put away (yes, I am one of those people...), and a kitchen in disarray.  I have no room to cook, no place to sort, no place to chop, no place to do what you do in the room with all the appliances. So, I set about to clean, organize, and streamline my kitchen. It is a work in progress.

It is not quite finished but it is a sight better than before. After one week, I have kept it like this!

Giving it a go again

I have tried to blog in the past but to no avail. I just did not have the time, lacked the passion to want to sit down for a few minutes and type...but now as I begin my transition from a career in the Air Force to new opportunities that include culinary school and wine, I find I do want to share with the ephemeral world of the internet my perspective on wine, life as a working mama, and how to find balance and joy by blending both.
